I joined a group of bikers to ride through Myanmar. The system was such that nobody could ride alone but a government guide had to be present and all dates, routes and hotels had to be fixed before such trip can take place. So it was much cheaper and easier to join a group, and later I found that it would have been very difficult alone. Now (2022), the border is very difficult to cross, thaks to the military government of that country. In 2015 people of Myanmar very optimistic since the first free elections were announce for 2015. Sadly, the freedom didn't last long.
